Anyway, besides that calamity, I have a painting to show. (you have to know that to do this I have to email the images to myself, because the apps don't want to grab my disc... so much fun... not!)
Here is the finished piece . I know the photo is kind of lousy, the backround is looking darker that what it is?? But I took like 300 zillion pics and this was the best :oP Please ignore the flash...
This is the Modigliany:
Just to discover the colors took me a few days, and still have them only "close" to the original. I think the eyes are very pretty much the same... the rest is kind of near by.
And I sent 2 pieces to Norway, for the second twitter art exhibit! I will write more about it in the next post.
I hope your week is going much better than mine ♥ and happy PPF

I think this is a fabulous image!! :D XXX
This is a wonderful piece. Sorry to hear about your computer problems. I would love to have an apple computer, but am so used to my PC and have so much invested in programs would hate to change. I'll be curious to hear how you like yours!
Excellent painting! Wow! Sorry about the computer problems. Hope you catch on to the Mac quickly. :)
Well I still have my hopes on my pc to change her mind :oP
Funny thing when I started to learn about computers ages ago it was in a Mac, but I guess we get used to a thing that we like...
Oh my gosh, I love this piece!
Good luck with your computer issues.
I've been a Mac user for about 5 years now, and I love it SO much, I'd NEVER go back to a PC now.
Wow! What a great job! I have two more in progress. I should work on them this weekend.

Oh, no! Been there, done that (except that I stayed with pcs and bought an external back up drive). You inspired me to read more about Modigliani. Thanks!
I like your painting.. good representation! I'm sorry you're having computer issues. It's such a hassle being without a computer that works properly. Hope you get it all sorted out soon! Happy PPF!

"Mo" is one of my faves and I love that you're doing a Mo challenge!!! Your paintings are impressive!!!! Awesome work!
I'm loving your "Mod" and those eyes just melt me away! Well Done!
Really well done, Ayala!
It's very very near then ... Awesome work!
This is very good! I love the blue background. I tried my hand at one of the Modigliani pics. I'll post next week. But yours is great. Sorry about the headache with your computer. I switched over to a Mac and have never looked back. I love it!
Happy PPF.
Blessings,
Tricia
Martha this is just fantastic, so cool :) Sorry I still haven't posted my other faces LOL, way behind with EVERYTHING at the moment but hopefully catch up this week, thanks again for organising 29 Faces, I really think my art improved with the challenge, maybe next time I'll get it done each day ;)
How annoying about your hard drive! I hope you'll get it fixed and working again. I'm thinking about buying a Mac too. Your Modigliani painting looks fabulous!
Great job! You really did capture the eyes and the shape of the face. So the colors are bit off from the original...it's a terrific painting regardless.
Sorry to hear about your computer woes. I have a ten year old Mac laptop that I am only just now considering replacing, and that's only because I can no longer update the software, it still works like a champ. Ten years is like a thousand in computer time, so I'd say make the jump.
Another wonderful painting! Sorry it was so frustrating to get a picture of it, but I think it looks good. :) Hope computer problems clear up soon. I know that can be a TOTAL pain!
How very cool - you did a great job of replicating this!
Hope your computer issues get resolved quickly. I HATE computer issues!
This is SENSATIONAL! You've captured it! Excellent job! I've fallen behind....
Martha, this is so fantastic. Modigliani it is, for sure. Wonderful art. I have been using MAC for about 22 years and wouldn't know how to use anything else. It's much simpler to learn that the PCs, I hear.
I am sorry your having so many computer problems :(
Wow your piece really turned out nice! Great job!
Hi Ayala -- I love the details in this man's face. At first he made me laugh and that is a compliment because I looked at it again and he made me laugh, and the detail is exquisite. We can all relate to computer malfunctions. I've been there many times in my life and feel your frustration. Hope all is better -- Blessings Terri www.morningdewdrops.typepad.com
This one turned out great too! I really like his eyes. I see from the post below that you really like music. You might enjoy Jamendo.com. Check it out!
