How to carve a rubber stamp tutorial.
Things I learned:
*The material is softer than I imagined, so I made some accidental cuts that overall can't be seen, but it was stressing at the moment.
I want to try with the white board and with an actual linoleum plate.
*The image will be mirrored, so plan ahead. This I knew already, but still surprised me at the end :oB
*I need a bit more ink for watercolor paper, and press a little longer.
*You definitely need time to work on this project; it took me the whole day carving it (well, off and on, while I had to do the regular summer/house activities) But is not a quick thing, you need to carve some time for it ;o)
*It is so much fun! (◔‿◔)

I think you made a wonderfull stamp! I use a different kind of material and I think yours is even carving more easy. I love the outcome. Great image when it's coloured! And you are so right: It is so much fun!!

Martha, this is simply amazing! It is an inspiration to try new things. I've done some simple foam carvings but nothing as complex as a face. Beautiful work and such an informative video. Also, I love how it looks with the color added.

The translated subtitles in YT are horrible, they just say crazy unrelated things, it is really funny, but it doesn't make any sense.

Just wanted to say thanks for showing us how you came to this result and your thoughts behind it. Looks really great. I think the leaves were a really good idea, it adds some interesting texture.
i love carving stamps and wish i did it more often. there is something so satisfying about the simple process. i love the details in your stamps.
