No, it is not from the US, it is n British writer, Emily Brontë. It is really a terrible sad story, and was not well accepted in her time. But as a dramatic movie (and the song particularly) it is recommended as a classic now. :oD
this brings back memories. i even looked up the film but only found the 1930 lawrence olivier version and the current one. did i imagine i saw it as a child? love the collaborative art.

NO WAY!!!I was just listening to this song in my car today. I love Kate Bush!! I agree it is such a sad story, but it's a great movie.

I read that book in the 3rd grade - loved it. Read it more than once as a matter of fact. That collaborative portrait is wonderful.
