No. 8 with crazy texture

As much as I love texture, this was particularly difficult to deal with :oD
It is very abstracted, and I am sure it is still in process, since I am not totally done playing with it.... The second one is digitally edited:

Beautiful experimentation! I'll have to try some texture one day too :) Very inspiring.

I just love paintings with texture - it's why I rarely buy prints, you lose the texture!

textures are always so difficult to draw and paint on, especially faces. You have done a grand job Martha. Happy PPF, Annette x

I love the texture. Gives her a little more character and of a story.

For me it looks ready but I know how it can be unfinished...forever! :) Sometimes it's difficult to know what to do if the result is not 100% 'this is it'.
Happy PPF!

Yes, it is quite a challenge to make a face on a heavily textured background. You did a great job!

LOvely face, Martha, and the digital version gives it an entirely different feeling.

You did great with the texture. I just don't seem to get the hang of it. Love your colors. Did you start with a black background?

I prefer the original to the digitally altered piece. It depicts the buffets and scars we obtain through life, while the eyes are still wide and filled with hope.
