Building a face on black background. No. 17
Starting a paint from black is very different that a light color or a blank page.

Dark backgrounds are just perfect, they are interesting to work with.Your work has strength!
Stunning! I have tried to draw a face from a picture - normally I draw it from my head... I feel as though it was easier to look at a photo
