face #21 of 29

As I was working on the kitty painting of my last post, I realized I was going to have left over paint and I simply cannot stand wasting paint. There are many ways to use the left over paint and this is one of my favorites:

I left the brush run out of paint in some areas to make it look distressed.

This portrait is actually an abstract/stylized nudie. If you want to see the whole image continue...

I wish the colors looked as in the journal, but my scanner is acting up.
The background is a very subtle blue gray, not aqua.

She could've been a mermaid if I had continued to paint...

Love seeing all the faces. Wish I had time to join. It's been a long time since my first time doing the challenge. :)

Lovely face, Martha. In fact, I enjoyed seeing your many faces for this 29 Faces challenge, even though I didn't enter it. Of the latest bunch, I really love the girl with the cat. So sweet.
