Updates in collab projects

Well.... I posted about it in FB but I did not mentioned it here in the blog.
I had a dental situation going on, easy fix, that turned into a year of nightmares. I had a 3rd surgery last week in the same spot to correct the mess made, and here I am, in pain and with a squirrel-in-fall with a puffy cheek. Again. Ugh!!
But I have tried to keep doing art here and there. As I said in the last post... it was hard to stop! So I added a couple of more layers to the TAP painting. I will just show a close up, I did not touch the rest. I behaved :oD

Another update, the FITW, I used fabric and a translucent metallic background that seems to disappear with light, really cool! It will be going to Germany to visit Andrea next:

....and I have a couple of awesome surprises I can't talk about yet!! it will have to wait a few more weeks yet, but it is really exciting and artsy!

  2. So sorry you have had such painful and on-going dental work to go through. I am surprised to see how beautifully you carry on with your gorgeous artwork. I think I'd be hiding under a pile of quilts.

  3. I use material and the pain too but can you be more pacific as how you use the-------------- translucent metallic background.

Newbee learning. Your work is beautiful. I have lots of material like you use.

    1. I have been very "pacific" of the late lol but I guess what you meant was to explain more about the paint? It is an acrylic type called Lumiere, in their translucent variety, in this case Violet, but they have a lot more colors. They shine with light and if you see in another angle, it doesn't show any color, giving a special effect, as in the image. Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Oh no! I am so sorry to hear about dental problems. Especially with that extra frustration that the problem could have been avoided. I totally feel for you and hope you're on the mend soon! And I hope everyone is extra nice to you!

The painting is just beautiful! I love the pink/peach and gold and her green eyes.
