Children's story time

I am in this fun collaboration, making a story and a video. It was so much fun until my editor collapsed... Then it was 3 days of torture till I removed many video files.... But anyway, the end result is a happy video:

kitty cat journal page

Girl with kitty. 19 and 20 faces

It's been so long since I didn't paint a kitty! I cannot believe it!

Well, my friend Melo Art posted a link of an artist (whose name escapes me at this moment, sorry!) it was a painting of a cat on a bench in a garden.... that amazed me because it looked like my cat, on a bench lol here he is, modeling:

 

So after that, of course I needed to make a cat painting. So here it is.

These are faces 19 and 20.

Cat in my window

My cat, like most cats... is a curious creature. And very silly. As soon as he is inside he wants to go out, just to go to a window and spy on us.
Like a good cat, he can't see a door he doesn't want to go through, or a window he can't snoop at. I took a picture and played with the editor:

The past few days...

My son brought a kitty he found, so needles to say... we have one more pet. She is the sweetest thing! I thought she was still a baby because she is tiny, but turned out she is about 11 months old, the vet said after checking her teeth. I won't even go into the HUGE vet's bill we got... OMG! Was it because it was a weekend? Or because there were so many things to be done to her to be healthy and safe? Good grief.

Well, expect cute kitty pictures in the future lol  For now here is a funny one:

She is all clean now, didn't even get all upset in the water! She is getting ear drops and some other meds, and in a few weeks she will be fixed, so no more stray kitties, at least from this quarters!

As for art, well, nothing much! We went out of town (my son staid behind baby sitting the kitty) and we had fun, took more pics, had lunch there and the weather was perfect down there, just 2 hrs south from here.

I hope everyone had a nice father's day, not sure if it is celebrated the same weekend in other countries but congrats anyway! :o) my DH got a new comfy  office chair.

Tomorrow I will resume the June Guys and scan more mono prints ♥

New thing for me

So, since this challenge is about trying new things, today I did my effort at drawing live. We went to Barnes & Noble and after I found a book and DH found a Magazine, we went to the cafe. As I was having a teramisu, my daughter had some extra napkins and I always have pens so we started to doodle. We have been doing that for years, since I can remember! She and I sit at a table and make funny drawing, and giggle, but this time I decided to try to draw people around us.
It was hard! They keep moving and I did not want to be too obvious and make people uncomfortable :oP These are quick pen sketches that were sort of ok :oD

 Overall, I don't think I was able to catch the real look, but it was fun.

My 4th face is a photo of a super cute kitty with 2 color eyes. They have him up for adoption but no one was there to give me info:

And my daughter, after giving up on sketching people around us, just made a cartoon of one of her favorite shows:

"-John, I'm alive!"  "-Yay! I'm so glad!"

OMG! December...

What happened to my year! It was brand new not too long ago...

Well, at least we have nice weather. Just a hint of rain and cool breeze.
I went out to take pictures of my flowers before the real winter gets here and most of them go dormant. I had my photo assistant cat following me and directing the shots :oD

I have to say wrinkles are very hard to draw! I picked a very wrinkled face to practice and well, this is the result:

 

In this image you can see the photo for inspiration, the second image is my attempt, and the last one is after some corrections. (Which is also the image above).

I know, is not a close replica, but although the photo is very interesting, I was tired and....
Did I mention my son brought 2 more kittens!! OMG! His friend found them from his backyard, and I helped for the night, but I just can't keep them. Panzon is very insulted and flabbergasted. The one on the left is a trouble maker! lol

Panzon is giving the welcome sniff to baby kitty, who was left behind days ago, when his momma was moving to another yard. I'm afraid he will be a permanent household guest as well. But who can resist such a face?? Xo)

Wasn't it just yesterday...?

I took my baby daughter to register for a summer class in high school. Feels to me it should be kindergarten! Even if she now is taller than me, it just doesn't feel right that she will start high school... Too soon! Too fast! Some one please, pass me the salts!

Well, I will skip the fainting to say thanks to my buddy Karen Anne! She will have Sasha with her soon. I am so happy it goes to her home!  The angel and the adobe house are still up for grabs HERE

I have some ACEO in the making, but somehow my muse lost her GPS again so here I am simply waiting for her to arrive to her destination.  I blame it on Panzón. He is enjoying his summer a bit too much.

I was laughing so hard to find silly Panzón in a tight little ball right in the middle of the yard. I went to grab my camera and then Scruffie came to the picture all concentrated sniffing some old lost track of a mysterious scent. I could not catch the moment she sniffed his butt, I was laughing too hard!

Just look at his face in the last picture of his disgusted look. XoD  hahaha

Quick post

Wow, October already! It's Sunday night and I have been busy with all kinds of house things this weekend, including some very sweaty gardening. I have great plans for my back yard, but Scruffy insists on helping so things will go very slow.
At least she is ready for Halloween! Yup, she's going to be a hot dog hehehe

And here's Panzón, a reluctant model for our New Shop, where we are listing all kinds of little crafts.

 

He told me that for Halloween he wants to dress as a penguin.... :oP
