Green green pink!

Here is my week 5 for the SOC:

I have not painted much this week because I have been editing. It takes longer that I plan and specially the music! Selecting music for videos is the hardest part for me!

Question: when you watch video tutorials, do you like the person to be talking as the project goes, or do you prefer a more quiet brief explanation and see the action of the project?
Thanks for any input!

Hearts in July

Hey guys! Like in every July for the last few years, I will be making "Hearst in July".... if you want to join me: find, make, photograph any and all hearts you find around... Have fun! Any number of hearts, although in the past I made 31, this month I have a full plate so I will make what I can ♥
My 1st one is also part of PPF and SOC "red red + metallic"
The photo is not showing the colors so wonderfully at this late hour, but you can still see them ;o)
I also want to let you know I am finishing details in a new online workshop, keep an eye over here!

Journal page

For SOC 3rd week, I have this journal page lady.
Somehow my lavender looks pinkish, but in person is lavender, purple and yellow, plus my charcoal pencil. She is one I started in 29 faces and I know for sure it will keep evolving. ;o)
I have been welted in this heat, today we will reach 107F / 42C. All this week we have been hot... I think I want to visit the Southern Hemisphere at the moment :o)

Update: turned out we reached 109 :>O
But I made an awesome banana shake :oD

SOC second week

Pink, pink, orange... (and a few other tones...)

This is how the 3 colors looked, but I did not take a photo, so this is a screen from the video, which doesn't look so good, so I edited it lighter:

Anyway, I am having a blast! If you want to check out the Summer of Color click HERE
*Video coming soon. Did you see Last weeks video?

SOC first week

I have never been so good at working with a limited palette. I love using tons of colors even if it is only a hidden drop. So Summer of Color really represents a challenge for me.
This is the page I made in my journal based on "2 blues and a green" which was the prop of this 1st week:

I had to make a face, you know? So she ended up looking like a reject from Avatar or a never shown (for a good reason!) work from Picasso in his Blue period... kind of lol

But... I made a video nonetheless! \(͡๏‿๏)/

Painting a portrait on collage Collab

This is how I made a portrait on the awesome collaged piece that Sarah Trumpp sent me for a collab work.I had a general idea, and I knew I had to integrate the final figure with the stenciled heart. The result is one of the most surrealistic paintings I ever made :o)

Do you want to see how she made the piece? Click HERE

Art journal page

Here is a page of my journal, and update on my dolls (which i will post more details in my doll blog!)
The page was made for Dallas, a great illustrator who invited people to make his Reaching hands, towards something we love doing... so you see what my hands are :o)
I debated between this and chocolate lol And the winner was a guy that made his hands reaching waffles... so I was not too lost there hee hee hehehe

And I am participating in this Summer of Color! at least as much as I can.... but it is one of those juicy activities I cannot skip, loos like SO much fun!
Thanks for visiting :o*
P.S. I cannot leave comments in blogs that require G+ to leave a post... sorry!

Updates in May

Well... so many things have been going on! Where do i start?

Graduation time... sniff sniff, my younger one finished high school... and it required 100 errands and award ceremonies. Why don't they make all into one? Maybe because they do not want all their audience in a comma by the time they finish... I guess it is better to have them divided in separate interests I suppose...

I have been taping, editing etc a class, plus one that is back at U-thrive yaay!

Also I started to use more the instagram, which is easier to click an image and post from there.... I still love the blog more but it requires me to sit, think, type something more or less cohesive lol and transfer my said clicked images into the computer.
In general, I have been spending less time online, and more time painting.

Anyway, here is a picture of what's on my desk at the moment. One of my art journals, and the beginnings of some tiny dolls: ♥

Excuse my messy desk. I wanted to participate in the 6th anniversary of WOYWW What's on your work desk Wednesday: Congrats! I have participated in the past, always interesting!

Visiting the Getty

Happy mother's day!

I love the Getty Museum. Not only you see tons of art, you also have the chance of feel their great weather up there. So we went for mother's day. Great gift for me, to spend the whole day there, having lunch, taking pictures, enjoying the weather and visiting the 4 buildings ♥

These beautiful orchids were part of my day too. Gift from my DH.

One of their changing exhibit included 3 drawings by Klimt, and one painting by Alphonse Mucha, along with many others, but those were my favorites.  Photography in those rooms is not allowed, but I found some pictures online.
Click on this image to go read an article about it.
