I like to work with a very smooth surface for the faces, and lots of texture for the background. In this case I have also leaves on the left side, so that's a different texture as well:
Now it has to dry for a few hours... I can't wait to start adding layers of color!

My son turned 18 yesterday. Where did the time go?
We had a good day and even the weather in the evening was lovely ♥

I'm about 6 months behind you for TWO boys turning 18!! They were just babies yesterday... cute toddlers, etc., etc...
