Linky is up!

I just installed the Mr Linky for all to start adding themselves to the 29 faces challenge (look up to the right button/tab)

For the new people: Write a first introductory post in your blog, tell people what the challenge is, what you are doing etc AND use the label 29 faces. Post it.
THEN click on that label in your post, (it will take you to another blog page) then you copy the URL from your browser top and paste it here in this blog's Linky

The link you post will take the readers to ALL your individual challenge's posts. This way we only post one link, and have all our 29 postings showing!. (^._.^)

tip: If you want to have it in a menu button, then you need to open a "Page" copy/paste that same URL (the whole thing) and save. You have to of course add the pages widget in the blog, but that will bring separate post to that button/tab.
You don't have to do this last step, that's only in case anyone wants to add a tab in their blog.

This time around I won't be adding other people's art to the Pinterest. Between the changes they made, and the time it takes to add every single work, it's not convenient.

....OH! I almost forgot! I finally was able to finish the video of Mr happy Frans:

I had to go back to the OLD movie maker, because the new one "Live MM" is just unusable (I'm being polite here...) After several frustrating days, adding things to it, adding some more patches etc.... it still wouldn't work.

But he is done, happy and uploaded, and ready for the Giveaway celebration HERE

Hope to see your faces soon!! This is so exciting!!

  14. Hi Martha, well I am here and a little nervous. I just started to sketch faces in January/February and so this will be an interesting experience for me. Thanks for doing this challenge. What a great way to meet like minded artists at different stages.
Can't wait to get started. I hope sketches are ok, not sure I can do all mixed media every day.
    Thank you, Lesley

    1. Sketches are fine, anything you want to try is OK... just have fun, experiment, and try new things that you want. When you make yourself do often and a lot, you discover new things about yourself and like you say, meet new people, which is always nice. Great yo have you here!

  15. Marha, I would like to join, but I am not sure I can post everyday since I am out all day 2 or three days a week and I am not sure to keep up the pace. But if it is fine with you, I am happy to try. Hope to be able to do the link/label thingy correctly since I am very very new to blogs.

    1. Hi! Do as much as you can, you don't have to finish the piece to post it... this is just for us to push the muses and try new things, great to have you playing the challenge!

  16. Ok, thanks for Palma to direct me to this challenge, I will try to keep up the pace and it will be a good practice for me. Now, to the technical point, I am blog illeterate and although I have tried to follow the instructions, Martha, I am sure that I did not do the label/widget/tag thing correctly because I don´t know how to do that. I have tried, believe me, but just so you know that I probably did it wrong. If so, please let me know and I´d try again.

  20. Hi there, i'm kinda new to blogging and want to join this challenge. I am having a problem adding the button to my blog. Do I just copy the code and paste it to my post, it does not seen to be working. I could really use some help before I have a nervous breakdown.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Jodi, the button is added like this: Copy the code under the button. Go to the blog Design part, then "Layout", from there you click ""Add gadget" and scroll until you see one called "HTML/javaScript " and add it. Once that window opens (the new gadget) then you paste the code from my button, click save.
To move it up or down in your side bar, just drag it in the list of gadgets, then click SAVE arrangements (orange button top right)
That's it... :o) If you have any trouble, let me know.
You can click on my "tip" tab, I have some easy blog tutorials.

  22. Thank you, I knew how to do that. I wanted to add it in my post like some others have done. Anyway, it's on my blog.
I am apologizing ahead of time cause I know I will have more questions.

    1. Ooh! OK, to do that, you save it in your computer,(right click mouse, "save as") then put it in a folder where you can find it. Go to your post, and add it as a regular picture. Voila!

  26. I'm so excited to try this challenge! I've only been playing with art for a couple months now... but I'm ready to start trying some more in depth things. Can't promise it will be great art - but it will be great practice! And even more fun to share on my blog so I can look back and compare #1 to #29. Thanks for hosting the challenge... I look forward to hopping around! :)

  29. I told you I would have another question. I think i made a mistake with the linking, I just linked the first post and not the "29 faces". Can I redo it(put my name on again)?

    1. Hey Jodi, I went to check it and it is fine :o)

    2. but when I add my next face it won't be linked to that. I don't think I put the correct URL.

    3. You have to add that same link to all the posts for the challenge, and they will show in that page, as in the main blog home page. I don't see the link wrong. Post the next posting with the link and lets see.
