She has flowers in her hair. (why does it sound like a song...?)
She's been done since Monday but... youtube finally finished uploading my video, after loooong hours :oS
With all her flowers...
Oh, and Crafty Chica will be visiting the Michael's in California! yaay! She posted a skull with flowers in her blog. HERE Sister of my mask lol
You totally captivated me with your viedo! Mesmerized!!! Loved watching the magic you made turning the plain skull into a beautiful art piece! Bravo! I also enjoyed hearing your voice. Kept wanting you to hold the mask up to your face to see your eyes looking out of the skull! ;-)
Happy PPF!!! thanks for sharing. Loved reading your featured artist interview too! so interesting!
I love the colors you added. It really made her come alive, in a deadly sort of way. Congratulations on being the PPF artist today. Enjoyed reading your interview! Catherine Denton
Congratulations on being the featured artist on Paint Party Friday's blog this week! Lovely interview, and was great to learn more about you! ♥♥♥ Happy PPF!! Mary Mixed-Media Map Art
Martha, you did well on the mask. Not being into skull art, I am going to comment on the beautiful young girl you posted on Wednesday. She is just so sweet I want to hug her and adopt her for my granddaughter! congratulations on being the PPF artist of the week.
Thanks Faye! I know, the skulls are very contrasting with the rest of my work, but I like to celebrate Dia de los Muertos, I started too early (for me) but it is a commemoration of our loved ones that passed away. It is right after Halloween and a very rich cultural expression. I don't make the altar or the food. I buy the bread though hehehe can't skip that with hot cocoa!
I have made two skulls for decoration. I have a friend who tells of this celebration and the singing and ringing of the bells each hour. Thank you for detail and I hope you add comments on Dia de los Muertos during the next month.
Fabulous..magical and beautiful!! And congrats on your interview/feature at PPf!! Wonderfully inspiring!! Shine on..you are a fantastic artist! Victoria
I love this! Perfect for the Day of the Dead coming up.
Can you help with a problem I have at 29 Faces? I signed up and left the wrong sort of link (#57). Went back and corrected it and think it's correct now. (#59) Can you remove #57? I'd so appreciate it!!
(I didn't see anywhere to comment on that page or I would have commented there :) Thank you so much!!!
This is so cool and so different than your other work. I love it. My daughter's school commemorates Dia de los Muertos instead of Halloween. It's amazing. all 8 grades do art projects inspired by DDLM and they have an all day festival that includes a HUGE altar with pictures of ancestors for every child. It's very cool. xo
This is beautiful, and so cool too lol
