Do I have news for you!

Hello there! First I will tell you about my wonderful 2 things delivered in the mail after I won in the OWOH blog event:
An adorable doll from my buddy Cindy Sowers:

A cool necklace from Deborah of heavenlyhumor:

I am so happy! Thank you ladies!

Now let me tell you... I took Scruffie to the vet, right? we took an X ray because I was so worried who the "other dog" was, so there was a chance they puppies were too big. Long story short, the X rays shows 5 heads... I panicked because I was thinking more like 3 :oS And no clue on what to do to help.

Well, last night at some odd hour, she delivered her 5 healthy puppies, all of them look fine, and identical to her!
In the fist inspection, ALL seem to have boys parts... so I guess we will check again later, just to make sure. Isn't it funny if all are from the same gender?? My daughter and I were thinking to call the babies with the Pride and Prejudice names. One was going to be Mr. Darcy. Now with 5 boys, I guess we will have to forget about Lizzy and Charlotte... The options will be Mr. Darcy, Mr. Bingley, Mr. Whickham, Mr. Bennet and Mr. Collins (poor little guy). My dentist will adopt one of them! :oD
Here's the proud momma:

And here is Panzón, who is banned from the house till the babies are bigger:
He doesn't mind, now that the weather is better and naps are more fun in the "jungle" than in a boring carpet anyway LOL

As for art and dolls... well, I will go back to that soon. Life played a twirly twirl on my this past few weeks (with the flu, leaky roof, crazy repair men, pregnant dog and all that), but getting back to normal now :oD

Selene keeps changing

So far, I modified Selene's forehead with a bit of paperclay, trimmed her clay hair so I could use mohair (after Trace's approval)... painted her with acrylics, then added hair, a crown and finished her dreamy eyes with eyelashes. I think she looks so pretty!

One tiny fairy said: "We painted you nicely"

the other fairy said: "Are you sure you don't want a tutu?"
"we need to give her a crown!"

And as much as I want to keep going.... I think she's ready to fly to Florida.

Selene arrived from the UK days ago. She is a blank canvas with an awesome journal!
I don't even want to touch the journal, it is so beautiful! :o)
Well, This is how she looked when she arrived:

She is being transformed with color, soon she will have hair, then she will continue traveling to Florida where I'm sure she'll have lots of fun.

I went to the random generator and this is the result:

My thanks to Lisa who made it possible, to introduce so many people from so many places of the world.

The day Luna ran

For the ADO "Traveling doll project" I made a paperclay doll, sculpted over aluminum foil, and painted with acrylics. She will travel to Florida to Raedell and then shipped to the UK to Tracey. After their hands are done creating and modifying her, she will come back to me.... I made a story for her:

The day Luna ran ....and ran

For centuries, every month on a full moon, there had been some little green figures that come to dance in the moonlight, giggling at their shadows, singing and stripping off layer after layer of their fanciful clothing as they get too warm from frolicking around. Their attire is made of nice petals, twigs and shimmery fabric delicate like bug wings.

One night in particular, they were so distracted romping and dancing, they didn’t see a human getting close until he trapped poor Luna, the youngest of them all, who was sitting on a rock. She had danced since dusk and was enjoying the full moon, thinking of climbing on sunflowers and catching rain drops.

The mean human stole her clothes; he took her crown away, her shoes and also her long shiny hair! He knew they liked to dress up and gather treasures and would do anything to keep their things.
With a very unpleasant voice he told them the only way he would give the stuff back, was if she could find him the best tea in the world... or something just as good. He was tired of boiling old dusty, dried California desert leaves. He threw every item he had stolen from her and tossed it far, far away into the East blowing wind... And stomped away.

Luna never was one to lose her temper, so she sat and closed her eyes to think. The little green people gathered around and decided to give Luna a nice bag to bring back whatever she could find and told her to run… to run East.

Luna ran and ran all through the continent, but only at night. She was a bit wary to travel without a single stitch on in all her green splendor and no hair on her head. Every time she could, she would sit and close her eyes, thinking of sunflowers and clouds, pretty dresses and flowing hair…
She kept running passing rivers, hills, valleys, rocky roads and swamps, until she arrived to Florida, where she found something special.

After a while she kept running until she clear ran out of land, so she swam and swam heading East as she was told,’ till she found land again on a big island next to the continent in the other side of the world. Which was a good thing since the water was a bit too chilly.

Will she get her possessions again? Will she be able to find her way home?
Follow her progress here, and also the adventures of Victoria and Selene, my team partners Art Dolls.

It never rains in California....

But when it does, it pours right on my bed! :o( agh!
Actually wasn't sure how to title this posting. My options were:
1.-"I am sick as a dog with a stuffed up nose and wet teary eyes"
2.-"My roof leaked horrible right on my pillow, no it was not me drooling"
3.-"Soon we will have more babies in my home"

I'll spare you the details, but the short version is Scruffie is pregnant, due in about 2 weeks (yikes! what am I going to do??) At least she won't have to be alone in a cold parking lot now. :o/
My roof sprung a leak in the worst place, right on top of the bed which most likely is ruined. Well actually things could be worse if it was on top of the TV or something.
And I have a nasty cold which makes me a very unhappy camper. :oP

So now, for the fun part of the posting.... pictures!

Scruffie and Panzón having dinner together... wow!

My traveling doll. She is about 4 inches tall, about 8 if she was standing up. I'll post the story separately.

Now my dear friends, I bid you good bye. I have to blow my nose 300 more times.
See you soon! :O}

Cats, Dogs and Traveling Dolls

OMG February already?
Updates in our old-cat new-dog drama:
Well, we are not happy feline campers. Panzon is eating out, fast then he's gone the rest of the day. He doesn't want to come in, and I am very happy it is not as cold as it was weeks ago. We fed him treats every time we walked Scruffie infront of him, so he will eventually connect her with a nice feeling. At least he is not all puffed up anymore! :oP
And our dogie has two names. Scruffie and "Chiquita". Yeah, we like to make things complicated I guess LoL
I took some pictures to share:

Doesn't he look lonely?

And one more WIP picture of my Traveling Doll Project:

I have her story all written down, I'll post it in a couple of more days, just to keep some mystery going ho ho ho ho

Oh, don't forget to join me in the OWOH giveway HERE if you have not done so already :o)
