Well.... I posted about it in FB but I did not mentioned it here in the blog.
I had a dental situation going on, easy fix, that turned into a year of nightmares. I had a 3rd surgery last week in the same spot to correct the mess made, and here I am, in pain and with a squirrel-in-fall with a puffy cheek. Again. Ugh!!
But I have tried to keep doing art here and there. As I said in the last post... it was hard to stop! So I added a couple of more layers to the TAP painting. I will just show a close up, I did not touch the rest. I behaved :oD
Another update, the FITW, I used fabric and a translucent metallic background that seems to disappear with light, really cool! It will be going to Germany to visit Andrea next:
....and I have a couple of awesome surprises I can't talk about yet!! it will have to wait a few more weeks yet, but it is really exciting and artsy!
On the Traveling Journal for Lizzy's page I used glimmery paint and collage. In this journal she wants everyone to use her drawing, and each of us is coming up with a way to incorporate her art into a page we each create.
So, as you might remember, I have visiting Joyce's collab painting. It is such a thrill!
This is how it looked HERE and after I played with it, this is how it is looking:
I named this painting "Sisters"
I have to confess... it it VERY difficult to stop! I imagine them with this huge pink hats. Lets see what the rest of the team will do! Next stop is to "Gritty" Jane Spakowsky and I can hardly wait to see what happens next!
When I was little I used to paint mermaids all the time. I wanted to grow up and be a mermaid (^‿^)
My grandmother had a wall just for me, she would let me draw with chalk and oh what glorious mermaids I made there....
I still love painting mermaids ♥
Check for more images in my next post, she is turning out very pretty!
I can not believe that it's been like weeks that I don't post! OMG
Well, I have been very busy making art, enjoying all kinds of fun things in the Soul Food lessons, and feeling lazy too in this wonderful warm weather. oops! Did I say that? Sorry dear friends in the East that are still having snow!
We went to the Getty to see the exhibit of Queen Victoria's photography, it was fun! So amazing how much things have changed, and how she and Albert loved State of the Art technology.
I think it is funny how she was more modern thinking than me... who do not care for the latest or more technological gadgets.
And some times I've been known to forget to press "publish" lol
Here is a painting from one of my favorites, Cezanne:
I love to see the frames too, all aged, and each painter with their own style too.
