Face #25 of 29 faces

I decided to make a double post today and have this one in it's own post.
Face #25 with more of a lose brush and collage on a 4x6 board:

Reaching new corners

It is so thrilling to see how far and wide the 29 faces challenge has reached! I wish I could go and say hello to ALL, but some sites won't allow me. Like LifeJournal, so far I have not been able to find the comment link. I am a member so I will try after I log back in there.
Also I saw people from EBSQ participating, thank you for the linking guys! ♥ I'm waving my little hand to you all! I hope you are enjoying the challenge, and getting to meet more awesome people that love painting, doodling, sketching and even sculpting faces ♥

If you are a blogger and I do not leave a comment in your blog, most likely is that your profile is in glogle plus, which makes it literally impossible for people not there, to even contact you. Very frustrating, but I am visiting as many blogs as I can find. Some of your comments I can't track back to visit also due to the google+ not letting me see your blog. Sorry about that :o/

I have been posting also in the FB 29 faces page, blogs that are not in FB, so more people can find you. If for any reason you do not like the idea, just let me know and I won't include that blog, no problem :o)

My face for today in my art journal. I sketched this one months ago but just painted it today:

I saw red...

My face today is quite dramatic I think, with all that red... #23
Usually I like to paint smiling faces, but this one is a bit sad. Reminds me of my friend.

Here are some of the steps while painting this page in my art journal:
I have to make the extra again, since yesterday I only finished the one I had unfinished.
Maybe I will do another page with a dramatic color for the background  (๏๏)

More of my WIP

I spent today all sniffly and with a watery nose... I hate it! So I took it easy. I was going to go shopping but decided to just stay out in the sun, it was really pretty outside.
I painted some more of my page, but I didn't start a new face today. I will rush tomorrow.

Here is a close-up of my face:

This is the whole page, I think I'm finished with it:

Here's an image before the background:

I have to go now and find a new box of tissues. Aaa-choooo!
We have 6 days left! It's going too fast.... Oh! I am posting blog addresses of participants to the FB page, so hopefully more people will go visit all of you.

Rainy day...

Yesterday  and today it rained a lot. So my  face #21 today is a little ACEO with a bit of rain :o)

I started too late so no time to paint. Plus I have not done my little girls for a long time and I can't even remember how to make their faces! agh! That is really bad :o.
We are counting the last 8 days of the challenge!!

How are you doing? Do you have all your faces? Did you skip some? Did you give up?
I know I myself am going nuts right about now (≧◡≦)

Based very loosely in a sculpture I saw some time ago. pretty much working by memory.

Busy Monday.

Being today President's day, we had a holiday, which meant lots of fixing things around the house, all the kinds of things you don't really want to do. Poor DH ♥

Some days ago we went to see the Warm Bodies movie, I liked it. It is funny and creepy-cute, not horror and just a couple of startles here and there, nothing serious.
I decided to make "R" in a pencil sketch: face #19th

But I couldn't leave it alone, so I added color:

It doesn't look close to the real guy, the face should be narrower. But it is close enough for a zombie, I think.... if you have seen the movie, you tell me :o)

These are my daughter's 20th and 21st faces:

I ran out of pages in my journal!! Well, I have only been using the right sides, so I guess i could start using the left sides and I will still have space for a while :o)
As you can see, I am not good at keeping an art journal well organized. :oP

Just 10 days more  (or less, depending where you live in the world!) of 29 faces in 28 days!
I hope you are enjoying yourself ♥

This is a watercolor on paper and ink:
I haven't had one of these since I was a kid, and just like to see them from a distance now lol just to draw them ♥

New thing for me

So, since this challenge is about trying new things, today I did my effort at drawing live. We went to Barnes & Noble and after I found a book and DH found a Magazine, we went to the cafe. As I was having a teramisu, my daughter had some extra napkins and I always have pens so we started to doodle. We have been doing that for years, since I can remember! She and I sit at a table and make funny drawing, and giggle, but this time I decided to try to draw people around us.
It was hard! They keep moving and I did not want to be too obvious and make people uncomfortable :oP These are quick pen sketches that were sort of ok :oD

* Faces 14, 15, 16 and 17!
Blond guy doing some work in his laptop and notebook:

Asian young woman reading something. She kept moving her hand a lot:

Another girl sitting near by me:

Overall, I don't think I was able to catch the real look, but it was fun.

My 4th face is a photo of a super cute kitty with 2 color eyes. They have him up for adoption but no one was there to give me info:

And my daughter, after giving up on sketching people around us, just made a cartoon of one of her favorite shows:
"-John, I'm alive!"  "-Yay! I'm so glad!"
