I am posting 3 faces today, just in case I get too busy in the next couple of days. Last time I had about 100 emails a day and I absolutely love it, but doesn't leave much time to create
So here are one, two and three:
My personal challenge is to loosen my brush and free my backgrounds.
Knowing myself I will go back and work on them some more, but I really enjoyed letting go and make some abstract.
Remember to post a hashtag #29faces in the networks, so we can click that and find each other! And also use the tag/label in you blog post.
Oh! Happy Chinese new year too!
May we all get unstuck from wherever we were!
Check my available art and online classes
I am so excited!
ReplyDeleteAs we are 9 hours before your time - I have got 9:15 now.. I was able to sign in as second participant !
Oh my gosh!
I love your three faces... this gives me the idea to make such a booklet out of the rest I prepaired for the SOUL FOOD booklet I made....
Thank you so much Martha for taking all the work for this amazing event!
Love your ART!

This is one of my booklets! :oD ♥
DeleteHere we go again my favorite Challenge!!!! A massive thank you Martha you are a star. I really look forward to this challenge each year, I have met you and so many other wonderful artists through this challenge which have resulted in the formation of such a lovely group. Each year it is growing and one of the things I look forward to the most is getting to know new people. I know it is going to be hard for you over the next couple of days and I am sending you a big hug for that.
ReplyDeleteThe faces you have started are lovely and I have no doubt that you will come back to them otherwise you can send them to my end of the world and I will give you a hand.
Liefs

That's a great idea Martha! Might have to do that too in the weekends, since it's always very hard to get some art done then. Love your little faces!
ReplyDeleteLove your faces!
ReplyDeleteI will start on my faces right away - it´s already 10:30 here in Germany :)

ReplyDeleteThank you Martha for hosting this fabulous event agian. Love your use of colour in these faces, there is something about them that draws me into the painting and want to look more closely.
ReplyDeleteLovely work!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing what your technique will give rise to! I would say "Cheater" for doing three faces at once, but I have done that for previous challenges, so...
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!
Happy Feb 1st! Yay! I'm so excited! I really love your three faces! Each one has a different look, expression and they are wonderful! Have a wonderful month!!
ReplyDeleteI think the background is wonderful for your 3 faces, Martha. I couldn't leave a comment on the sign in page, but I did have a bit of trouble remembering how to do all the steps of signing in. I had to refer to your instructions.
ReplyDeleteAyala, i tried to visit everyone who posted their links for the challenge; but a lot of them had either bad links or the page that came up was NOT the first day of the 29 day challenge!
ReplyDeleteyup... the first days are like that: many little glitches. Working on it!
DeleteAnd so it begins! Your three faces are great! Cool combination of skin tones!
ReplyDeleteHappy !st of February looking forward to it with trepidation :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful faces! I think this background is super! Nice and loose and fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting this super fun challenge again :)
Thank you so MUCH for doing this again!!!! Your faces are wonderful and I love the background. Looking forward to a month of Fantastic Faces ♥
ReplyDeleteSo happy to have 29 Faces beginning again.
ReplyDeleteLove this! It is so relaxed and free. There is a lot of emotion and movement going on here. Very interesting!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I have joined a group of old friends who haven't caught up in a while, so much fun to get together and love what you have shared on day 1 (2 & 3 he he) Martha, the 2 faces at each end look like hey are about to speak and the centre face looks like he is silent and wise, the faces and background have a looser feeling and abstract, resist the urge to go back over them for a while, I like them just the way they are!!
ReplyDeleteLovely faces! It is great to start again this challenge:)
ReplyDeleteGiving it a try -- might not make every day due to full-time work. Jeannette told me about it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the challenge! 1 done !!! :-)

DeleteTiny triplets, so sweet! Thanks for this challenge, I'm participating for the first time.
ReplyDeleteI like the broken, earthy colors you've used in this work, very comforting shades.
I'm excited for another challenge--thanks! I can't believe so many people have signed up already.
ReplyDeleteI like this trio, and think your background is fabulous. It will be so fun to watch these over the month.
Just found this on "Adventures into Art" and will be joining the challenge. Thanks for hosting again!
ReplyDeleteI love the skin tones of your three characters....
ReplyDeleteThank you for the challenge.... my first time playing along :)
Wonderful faces! They echo each other but are so unique! Funny horse, definitely hope it was safely unstuck!
ReplyDeleteThree great faces!! Loosening up is great advice - I should do that as well. I'm working on it.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to be a part of this challenge. Except that I do not know what a hashtag is and where to put it. Okay that might not have sounded right, but I would appreciate any help! Thank you!
ReplyDeletehehehehe
DeleteIt started in twitter, anything to link in many posts together, you add the # sign in the word you want to hashtag, now you can post it like that in facebook as well, and the search engines pretty much find them anywhere you post them. It makes some kind of "html marker" that indexes posts that have the same word ... does it make any sense? it is more for networks than blogs, but since google catches words, it can catch it anyway :o)
Great faces Martha. Love them all. I always love your work. I think I have HTML on my link. You said something about the link not working right if there was html. I know you are busy but your savvy when it comes to computers and me well, I got no savvy. Please check for me and I will give you a dollar. tee hee. Take care and thanks.
ReplyDeleteGive me a tamale! hahaha
DeleteWhen you add a label (on your right, when you are typing the post) it links the similar posts with the same label, and all show in the Linky, when the URL includes the label. You just type the label, I do the rest in the Linky.
I love the expression in their eyes and their little bald heads. Beautiful. And thank you so much for hosting this! It is just what I have needed to help me along in my creative process.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful faces, Martha!
ReplyDeleteAnd while I'm missing 29 Faces this go-around (too much on my plate at present), I look forward to visiting the many blogs and seeing what you all are creating this month. Enjoy!
Love your faces and that you are trying something new with the brushstrokes. And thanks for all you do.:)
ReplyDeleteYipee. I participated in September for the first time but was in and out of town so much that it was a frustrating experience. This time I'll be home and am so excited. Thank you for all that you do to keep this community going. You do so much to promote connection in the art world. xo
ReplyDeleteIrene, I sometimes find myself out of town and what I do is doodle or sketch, write the number, and when I'm ready I post it. Sometimes if I will not have internet access I schedule an automatic post for the day. Yes, I get obsessed LOL
DeleteThank you for such nice comment!!
This looks like so much fun to be part of. thank you
ReplyDeleteWonderful Faces and they blend so well with the background.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting such a wonderful challenge.
Susan
